Phoenix Rising Raw

Here at Desert Winds Labradoodles we are working with Phoenix Rising Raw to test and promote their line of raw foods for our Australian Labradoodles.  This food is extremely nutritious for dogs. We will be feeding raw vegetables mixed with raw chicken breast and thigh.  The food is pre-blended based on your dog's profile.  The manufacturer works with you to determine the correct blend.  They will ship it to you, or if you are local to the front range of Colorado they will actually deliver to your door.
Owner and founder Sarah Frey, has built her life around education.  She has her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and her Master's Degree in Environmental Science; including course work in animal nutrition.  She has done extensive nutritional physiology research at an AZA accredited zoo.  Her nutrition and animal physiology experience spans the globe, with research completed in the United States and in the Middle East. 
     Her interest in animal nutrition has led her to create a way, for even the busiest people, to feed their pets the most healthy food available. With a dream and a recipe, she took a chance and has created a unique and original concept that is able to provide customers and their pets with the very best fuel.  With the most appropriate fuel for their bodies, they lead healthier and happier lives.

My husband Mike and I are new to breeding these amazing dog and boy have we been in a learning curve.  While we new we had to learn about breeding and selecting breeders and how to breed and how to whelp and how to take care of the puppies and all about nutrition and shots etc., we had now idea that tone he most important parts of this business is marketing.  We are getting up to speed on that but WOW, what a steep learning curve.

We got a website up (www.dwdoodles.com) and started looking at other ways to market our puppies.  We are now learning about blogging and advertising and photography.  We are starting to learn about YouTube and videos.  This is really Trial by Fire.

While this is a very competitive business (as we are finding out) it is also a very ethical group of people for the most part.  It is here that I want to publicly thank Kendra Vestal of Noble Vestal Labradoodles.  She started as someone who provided a a stud (Bossley) and turned in to a true mentor and even more important  a real friend.  I don't know what we would have done with out her!  Thanks Kendra!
